The Christ Church Outreach Program was established in 1985, providing food, clothing, baby, and household items AND serving over 100 families bi-monthly. Our Saturday morning food ministry has been in existence for 23 years. Over these years, the program has grown considerably. We receive multiple food donations from Forgotten Harvest and purchase other food stocks from Gleaners Food Bank, with contributions from our congregation, outside donors, and the Meijer Simply Give program. Christ Church is also part of United Way Human Services Network  and a referral point with Redford InterFaith Services.  We are also able to provide Thanksgiving turkeys and Christmas gifts funded by contributions from our members.

Our Outreach Program meets the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month at 9am.  We begin with a Bible study then those that attend the Bible study are dismissed to pick up groceries, clothing and household items.  Walk ins are welcome at 10:30am.  Please bring an ID with you.

Christ Church has home groups called Care Groups, that were originally established with an emphasis on the word care and the concept of Koinonia. The essential meaning of the word koinonia embraces concepts conveyed in the English terms community, communion, joint participation, sharing and intimacy. Koinonia can therefore refer in some contexts to a jointly contributed gift.

These Care Groups meet bi-monthly in the homes of members.  The Elders oversee these groups which are led by a man and woman (ideally a husband and wife) team who have been trained as leaders. Activities in these groups include worship, prayer, bible study, topical discussions, service projects and fellowship.

Our youth director is Miss Stephanie Morris.

We offer nursery care for infants- 4 years old during Sunday School and Worship. Children 5 years old and up go into the church service then are dismissed for a children's message during the sermon.
